It was a moment that redefined everything. One of the greatest challenges of my life became the catalyst for a journey of personal growth, leading me to a place of joy and true fulfillment.
I was thrust into a whirlwind of emotions, navigating a separation while pregnant with my third daughter and moving home to be near my parents in Ocean Beach. The weight of responsibility felt overwhelming, and the road ahead seemed uncertain.
My father was the one who encouraged me to give real estate a try. Having worked for his business in estate planning, he wanted me to help his clients needing to sell homes as part of their trusts. At first, I was hesitant, but he was confident in me every step of the way.
Through the first six months in real estate, I spent all my time learning everything I could about the industry. I wasn’t thinking about sales but rather how I could learn the skills needed to deliver a great experience for my clients. The people I worked with were often going through an emotional time, selling their parents' home or having to go through all their belongings—it could be overwhelming, so I wanted to ensure I could offer as much help and support as possible to ease them through the process.
Relocating after the separation and caring for my two young daughters, Coco and Roma, all while pregnant, was a taxing process. I couldn’t work as I tried to tie up loose ends and be there for my kids. The defining factor through this challenging period was the support of my family and friends. Born and raised in Ocean Beach, returning to the place I love was the best thing I could have done. Those closest to me supported me through a difficult time, giving me hope for the next chapter.
During those six months, I focused on caring for my children and helping them transition through the change. As parents, it was important to both of us to ensure they remained our number one priority. With his involvement and the family and friends having my back, I was fortunate to never feel like a single parent. I’m incredibly grateful to have had so many people there for us.
Everything was put on pause when I was pregnant with my daughter while navigating a tumultuous time; at the end of the day, family will always come first. After giving birth to my youngest daughter, Louie, I was ready to dive back in. I had found a renewed sense of determination and purpose. After all I had been through, I looked at life from a new perspective: If I can get through that, what can’t I overcome?
In the midst of adversity, I found solace and strength
in real estate. I kicked my efforts into high gear, achieving 20 sales in my first year back. The following years saw a remarkable transformation as I gained confidence in my work and abilities. I felt a sense of independence and empowerment through my work.
In 2022, I formed my own team with eXp Realty and was recognized on the 40 Under 40 list. In many ways, real estate became my anchor, allowing me to recognize my own strength and provide for my family. I truly love what I do.
Through it all, family has remained my bedrock. I couldn’t have achieved any of this without the support of loved ones. In 2023, I married my husband, Nathan, who has a son, Greyson. Together, we have created a beautiful, blended family, and we couldn’t be happier.
My story is not just about overcoming challenges—it's about embracing them, learning, growing and emerging stronger on the other side.
In real estate, one of my greatest passions is trust sales. While I enjoy helping clients through all residential transactions, I find special fulfillment in helping individuals who have lost one or both parents navigate the complexities of selling a house. Often, they need to provide care for the remaining parent or need to work with multiple beneficiaries and trustees, along with the emotional task of cleaning out a house filled with a lifetime of memories. It requires a compassionate yet knowledgeable approach.
Many of the properties I handle are major fixer-uppers, requiring extensive renovations. My in-depth knowledge of the city's investors, cash buyers and negotiation strategies allows me to secure the best deals for my clients in these challenging situations. I also specialize in Point Loma, helping with farm and traditional residential properties. Having experience coordinating some of the most complex transactions, I bring a unique expertise to every scenario. Whether you are upgrading, downsizing or needing help with an estate, I have the knowledge and resources to guide you every step of the way!
